when I shoot around cloverleafs. The boxes I have are not from chris however, but look just the same, so I am not sure how much differently they fit, but I dont see vinyl on mine gripping carpet very well through fast on/off ramps. Anyway the guy who fabricated mine gave me an excellent idea that maybe those of you who bought boxes from chris who are looking for a better solution for securing them may like. Instead of bolting them to the metal hatch floor, use the hatch carpet as a template to shape a 3/4 MDF board that goes under the carpet, and bolt them to that. Cutout unnecessary sections in the middle without weakening the rigidity of the panel, so that it resembles the shape of a dumbell (one thick center connecting section, or two thinner connecting sections). Sounded like a much better idea than bolting onto metal, since it still allows you access to the spare without having to crawl under the car to unbolt your subs. Anyway I am going to try to make time to get this done this weekend, or possibly the next, and see how it works out. I'll post pics
